This a sculpture bust of a young peasant woman in the traditional costume of Tula governorate is a unique piece by the outstanding Soviet sculptor N.A. Andreev dated back to the pre-revolutionary period of his creative work. The sculpture is made in the Neo-Russian style and refers to national motifs. It combines bright decorative tension and monumental nature of the image. The sculpture is very impressive due to its size, expressive plastics and remarkable beauty of coloured glazes. This sculpture is a true gem of the collection.
