The Palace of the Soviets was supposed to be the main "Stalin's high-riser" in Moscow and the highest building in the world of its time. It was planned to be built on the place of Christ the Saviour Cathedral that was demolished in 1931. According to the design it was expected to be 420 meters high and crowned with a colossal figure of V.I. Lenin.
