Elena Yakovlevna Yanson-Manizer (1890-1971) worked with wood, marble, bronze, and cast iron. In the end of 1930-s the sculptor focused on ballet and created a series of porcelain ballet images. All her characters are very much similar to their models – leading ballet dancers. Deep understanding of ballet dancers' nature helped Elena Yakovlevna to create a gallery of unforgettable images. A special place in the collection is given to the author's favourite model G.S. Ulanova.
